You’re ready to invest when you:
1. Budget monthly
2. Have savings of 3 – 9 months of living expenses
3. Are debt free
When you have those things done, you’re ready to invest. Investing is for growing assets through interest, appreciation/cashflow, and profits. Investing is for growing assets for five years or longer; it’s not like saving. Saving is for less than five years and for a specific reason such as purchasing a new car. Investing is for growing wealth.
